The WinWell Companies, Inc., owner of three operating
companies, acts as a utility to support the subsidiary operations where
the customer-direct work is performed. The parent serves as a
consultant, marketing agent, and financial reporting and control arm to
the subsidiaries. Larry Wells, President and CEO, William Meigs, Executive
Vice President and COO, Edward Zelinske, Executive Vice President and CFO,
and Lisa Lally, Comptroller and Corporate Secretary manage the parent
company.
Larry Wells holds
business and Law degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked
as a partner in the firm of Winkle and Wells (the source of the name
“WinWell”) for 17 years, specializing in the representation of motor
carriers before the Interstate Commerce Commission and various state
agencies that regulated truck lines. In 1986, he left the full time
practice of law to serve as President of W.T.S. Enterprises, Inc., a
warehousing/distribution carrier serving Xerox Corporation in seven
states. In 1990, he and Bill Meigs formed The WinWell Companies, Inc.
which purchased the St. Louis carrier serving Xerox. In 1992, the parent
corporation bought one of the Los Angeles carriers serving Xerox and in
2000 became the largest domestic carrier for Xerox, taking over all
operations in Southern California. Over the years, each company
diversified its customer base and grew its revenues by several hundred
percent.
Bill Meigs
grew up in the office product warehousing/distribution business, working
first for W.T.S. Enterprises at its local operations in Detroit, Michigan
and later for Ryder Systems. While at Ryder, Mr. Meigs became responsible
for the ten dedicated Xerox operations owned and operated by Ryder. He
left Ryder to become a consultant for the Xerox Traffic Department to aid
in the development of the IT system used by Xerox to manage its domestic
supply chain. He then joined Larry Wells to form The WinWell Companies,
Inc. Mr. Meigs completed the course work at the American Productivity
Institute in Houston, Texas, the Vision Quest Total Quality Management
Seminars in Los Angeles, California, and the Aubrey Daniel’s Performance
Management Institute in Atlanta.
Ed Zelinske
received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and an MBA
in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology with additional
post-graduate work at Johns Hopkins University, and the University of
Virginia. He came to WinWell after twenty-six years of Field, Regional and
HQ positions with Xerox Corporation, including Director of Technical
Service in the DC/MD/VA area and CFO for Western US Operations.
Lisa Luker
Lally
has served as Comptroller and Corporate Secretary of the WinWell entities
since 1991. She attended the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City
and served as Financial Vice President of the Junior League of Mexico
City. While living in Mexico, Ms. Lally was the international sales
representative for Clopay Overhead Door Company. |
