Through the Bekins agency
network of specialized carriers, WinWell can offer a shipper or consignee of
high value products, comprehensive, value-added logistics services between
any points in the United States.
Bekins-GNS utilizes a fleet of 350 tractor/trailer units and has an
agency-managed network of 71 distribution centers supplying in excess of 4
million square feet of warehouse space in conjunction with a sophisticated,
proven, and integrated information management system to provide for the
logistics of high-value, less-than-truckload ("LTL") and truckload
("TL") orders.
Local
Direct
Direct service is provided to
Southern California through the WinWell West Customer Logistics Center in
Norwalk, California. Direct service is provided throughout the states of
Missouri and southern Illinois through the WinWell Distribution Customer
Logistics Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Service throughout the remainder of
the United States is provided through a linked network of affiliated
carriers under the Bekins-GNS umbrella.
Pick and
Pack
From its manufacturing and distribution centers around the world, office
product companies such as Xerox Corporation or Pitney Bowes, ship copier
mainframes, sorters, stands, document feeders, software, etc. to one of
the WinWell Customer Logistics Centers where the components are
inventoried.
When the office products
company sells a copier, for
example, the WinWell warehouse personnel pick the appropriate pieces
from the inventory, complete the assembly process pursuant to the
consignee's individual order, and prepare the copier for transportation
and delivery.
Preinstall Rooms
WinWell has the
capabilities required to manage large and complex products. Often, those products
require multiple components to be picked from serialized inventory and
staged in custom Preinstall Rooms. These rooms are provided for the
account's technicians so that the equipment can be prepared prior to final
delivery.
Reverse Logistics
If one of our Account's customers has traded in its old copier, WinWell
can prepare the product for removal and carefully remove it from the consignee location. The
"trade in" is inventoried and eventually returned to the
account's refurbishing/scrapping center.
Specialized
Equipment
Products ranging anywhere from a desk top copier to a half million
dollar printing system complete with computers and software are
transported utilizing specially- equipped WinWell trucks for delivery and
installation. The WinWell installers, who drive the trucks, actually
provide an abbreviated training session to the end-user for some of the products.
